| Nintendo DS and DS lite repairs |
I've fixed literally thousands of PSP's over the years, and Xboxes before that, and they've most
certainly kept me very busy. Many customers have asked if I can fix various other things too and
by far the most common request has been for Nintendo DS and DS lites. After about the 500th
request I decided to have a look for myself at what repair options are available on the Internet for
these things and I have to say it's a pretty pitiful selection. Now I know why people kept bringing
it up al the time.
PSP repair pricing varies greatly due to all the different things that can go wrong with them but the
DS's are much simpler creatures to deal with and it's a flat $65 for all the listed repairs which
includes return Priority mail postage and everything. All warranties, turnaround, payment options
and what not will be of the same high standard as I offer for the PSP's:-

There's a submission form below and all you have to do is fill it out and click "Submit". This is simply to let me know that
your console is coming in for repair and what it needs. There is no payment required at all at this point. I personally will
email to let you know I received your information as soon as I can, nothing is automated.
More detailed shipping instructions are also below though it's all very straightforward. Package your console up well for

(1) Fill out the form to the left and click submit. (2) Package the DS/DS lite up well. Any sturdy box will do and allow room for at least two inches of padding all around the console. Bubble wrap is a great packaging material but wadded up plastic bags or newspaper works fine too. Just make sure the console isn't going to bang around inside the box or get crushed during transit. Whatever you do don't just show up at the post office, console in hand, and hope to use their packaging materials as they're by far the most expensive vendor of such things. (3) You don't have to send the battery, charger, games or anything else extra unless you want me to test them out too. If you have a UMD loading problem though please send along any one game/movie/demo that's not loading so I can be sure to reproduce the problem when it gets here. (4) Make sure your contact info is shown somewhere on or in the box and mail it to: PSP Repair Service 2529 SW 25th Oklahoma City OK 73108 You can use any service that you like, post office, Fedex, UPS or whoever you prefer and I'll email you as soon as it arrives so you'll know that it got here safely. If you're mailing a check along with the console please make it out to "PSP Repair Service". Just a note, if you're using the USPS and you buy postal insurance for the trip here there's no need to pay extra for delivery confirmation. It's just duplicating the info already covered by the insurance but they usually won't tell you that at the counter. Postal insurance for the return trip is not included in quoted prices. If you want me to insure the console for the return trip I can do so at cost. Please include an extra $2.75 for $200 worth of postal insurance and put a note in with it requesting insurance. Once your console is received I'll personally send you an email saying so and I'll email again later on once I have a chance to check out properly. This one is to let you know what I found, what repair options there are, and how much it'll cost to fix if you're sending it in for a quote. If the repair hasn't already been paid for I'll also send an invoice, payable online, for the total repair charge. You can pay the online invoice by credit/debit card, eCheck or Paypal, or you can ignore it and mail a check, whichever you prefer. Diagnosis is 100% free so if it turns out to cost more than you expected or if you just change your mind there's no charge for my time whatsoever for just looking at it. If it turns out you just want it back as-is please mail a check for $8.10 to cover return postage via USPS Priority Mail. If for any reason though it turns out that I just flat can't fix it I'll pay for the return postage and none of it will cost you a cent. |
